Welcome

Firstly, I am sorry for your loss. If you are looking at my website, the chances are that you have had or are going through a loss. You are Grieving. Be it a death, divorce, relationship issues, financial issues, career issues even health issues – these are all losses and you are grieving.

There is life after loss. You get up the next day, and the day happens. You keep putting one foot in front of another, perhaps just going through the motions because you have children, a job to do, or just do not want to upset others by really saying how you feel. There is hope for things to change and quickly.

My name is Diane Parker, I am a widow of Andrew, and 13 months after losing my husband, my little sister Pauline died from Cancer. She left 2 beautiful children. Between the time of losing Andrew and Pauline, I became a Grief Recovery Specialist.

Welcome to Life after Loss.

My Life Afterwards is a place where you can ask any questions that you might have about dealing with this issue without any judgement! I have created My Life Afterwards to help connect with those of you who are currently struggling with what to do during or after your own loss. What about your life after loss?

That is often a question that we ask ourselves after we have gone through a death, divorce, or dealing with health issues etc. Amongst the emotional roller-coaster we ask ourselves:-

What now?

What am I going to do?

How am I going to live now?

Before I came across the GRM, these are questions I was asking myself, searching in vain through the internet. I was looking for guidance.

Grief is not just about death, Grief is loss. How you deal with loss, whether that loss is death, divorce, health, career and financial issues, growing up in a alcoholic or dysfunctional home – even a loss of faith. All of these things are losses and if they are affecting your life, you are grieving. You have not learned how to process loss. The Grief Recovery Method is an educational programme in which you learn what you have been doing to avoid dealing with loss, whether consciously or unconsciously.

The Grief Recovery programme takes you on a journey to completion. Click on the tab to find out more details about the courses available.

But what about after you have “completed” your journey with the Grief Recovery Method? What now? What are you going to do? How are you going to live?

Whether you need help preparing yourself to take part in the GRM or need help after, I am here to help you, live your life afterwards.

Some of my clients have needed support before and after. Whatever you need, I am here to help.

I invite you to browse through my site where you will find my blog of my own journey, the way I can help you and details on the Grief Recovery Method.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

It’s your heart that’s broken, not your head”
